The moment Martin Odegaard has been dreaming of since he was 15 years old will come true in the last week of August.
The Norwegian playmaker joined Real Madrid in January 2015 with the idea of succeeding at the club, rejecting offers from the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the process, and now he will finally be able to show what he can do in Los Blancos’ first team.
The time has finally come and the player feels experienced, excited and ready to assert himself in Real Madrid’s dressing room.
Odegaard is happy that he will be able to demonstrate his desire to succeed at what he considers to be the best club in the world.
During the long pilgrimage that the 21-year-old has had until his imminent return to the club, he has felt Real Madrid’s support throughout.
Those in charge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu have been in constant contact with him, respecting the different teams he has played for but at all times watching his training sessions and matches.
Odegaard and his two options
The Norway international has nothing but words of gratitude for Real Sociedad and the season he spent in San Sebastian, a city that welcomed him from day one.
Odegaard was clear that either he would return to Real Madrid or the only other option was to stay at La Real for a second season on loan. There was no alternative.
