Arsenal midfielder Matheo Guendouzi, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty.

The 21-year-old was on duty for France Under-21 side as he played against Liechtenstein and Slovakia on October 9 and October 12.

It has been confirmed now that the midfielder will now be on self isolation for 10 days.

Hertha wrote in a statement about the midfielder saying “Matteo Guendouzi has tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from international duty.

“There has been no contact with any Hertha players or staff. He is symptom-free and feeling well, but will now self-isolate for 10 days.

“Get well soon, Matteo!”

The 21-year-old won’t be making his debut this weekend against VfB Stuttgart.
